Functional cookies — We use cookies to store your language preference (English or French). These are essential to providing you with a localized experience.

Google AdSense — We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. If you visit this site while the Meta pixel is active, Meta receives your IP address, browser information, and the pages you viewed on fareseeker.ca, and may match this to a Facebook or Instagram account. Kiwi.com (Tequila API) — We use the Kiwi.com API to search for and display flight deals. When you click a deal link, you are redirected to Kiwi.com to complete your booking. Kiwi.com has its own privacy policy.
Leaflet / OpenStreetMap — Map tiles are loaded from CartoDB/OpenStreetMap for our interactive map features.
Flag CDN — Country flag images are loaded from flagcdn.com.
Google Fonts — We load the Inter font from Google Fonts for typography.
Google Analytics — We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate region, and how visitors arrive. It activates only after you accept cookies in our consent banner. If you decline, it stays off and sets no cookies.
jsDelivr — Some interface scripts are loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network, which receives your IP address when they load.
Unsplash — Some article images are loaded from Unsplash, which receives your IP address when they load.

Email Alerts, Consent and Unsubscribing

Our price alerts are sent only with your express consent, using double opt-in. When you sign up we send one confirmation email, and nothing else is sent unless you click the confirmation link. If you never confirm, we do not email you again.

Depending on the preferences you choose, we may send you a digest of flight deals matching your criteria and alerts when a fare you are watching drops. Every message identifies us as the sender, gives our postal mailing address, and carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to info@fareseeker.ca. Unsubscribe requests take effect immediately and in any case within 10 business days, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

We never sell, rent or share your email address. Emails are delivered through our email hosting provider purely to transmit the message.

Data Storage and Security

Flight deal data is collected from public APIs and stored on our servers. We do not store personal flight booking information. Contact form submissions are sent via email and are not stored in a database.

If you subscribe to price alerts, your subscription record (email address, preferences, language and consent timestamps) is stored in our website database, hosted for us by our web hosting provider, so that we can send what you asked for and prove that you consented. If you would like to know where that data is physically held, write to us at info@fareseeker.ca and we will tell you.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the information we collect, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure server configurations.

Data Retention

Flight deal data is refreshed regularly and older data is automatically purged. Language preference cookies expire after one year. Contact form rate-limiting data is retained for one hour.

Subscription records: kept for as long as you remain subscribed.
After you unsubscribe: we keep your email address and the date of your request so that we do not contact you again by mistake. You may ask us to erase this record completely by writing to info@fareseeker.ca.
Price history: we keep daily summaries of what each route costs, so we can tell you whether today is a good price. This is route pricing data and contains no personal information.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Clear your cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Request information about the data we hold related to you.
Contact us to request deletion of any personal information.

Children's Privacy

FareSeeker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

FareSeeker is operated from Quebec, Canada, and handles personal information in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
